Dr. Daniel Mongiardo, Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist in Hazard, is pleased to announce the addition of permanent cosmetics to his practice. Cody Slone of Pinetop, Permanent Cosmetics Specialist, is now working out of his offices in Hazard, London, Somerset, and Lexington to bring this service to the people.
Mongiardo stated, “Cody received accreditation by the world-renowned Dr. Marcelo Hochman, The Facial Surgery Center of Charleston, South Carolina.”
During her training at the Permanent Cosmetics Training Institute, Slone was mentored by one of the leading cosmetic technicians in the country. During his 25 years of practicing facial plastic and reconstructive surgery Hochman received several awards for his humanitarian work with children and was bestowed South Carolina’s highest civilian award. Permanent cosmetics is also known as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing. It enables the technician to subtly enhance a person’s natural features.
Unlike traditional tattooing, the machine used in permanent cosmetics is a much more refined machine that allows for optimum control and definition permitting the pigmentation to provide a soft and natural appearance. Slone brought her trained skills to Kentucky. Slone was an artist in makeup prior to her training in permanent cosmetics.
