Knott Countians gathered to pay their respects this week to a respected educator well-known for his dedication and concern for students. Mr. Vesper Singleton passed away January 28, 2012, in the Hospice Care Unit of St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was 83.
Mr. Singleton was the iconic principal in Knott County schools, having served in that position for more than 26 years.
Mr. Singleton’s passing comes just six months after the death of his wife, Juanita, who was also a beloved educator in the county for many years.
