Knott County opened the Mountain Classic with an easy 71-54 win over Belfry. Seth Adams hit consecu- tive three pointers to be- gin the game which was as close as Belfry would ever get. A bucket by Blake Shrum gave the Patriots a 10 point lead with just over a minute to go in the first quarter. Cameron Justice hit a three pointer and Evan Hall scored in the paint as the first quarter came to a close and Knott County led 20-5.
